We believe...

...in one God, Creator of Heaven and Earth - of all things seen and unseen.

...in the unity of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit eternally in the Godhead, being three persons but one God.

...in the sovereignty and grace of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit in creation, providence, revelation, redemption and the final judgment.

...in the divine inspiration and infallibility of the Holy Scripture as originally given, and its entire trustworthiness and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

...in the universal sinful nature and guilt of the human race since the fall, rendering man subject to God's wrath and condemnation.

...in Jesus Christ our Lord, the only-begotten uncreated Son of God who, for our sake, came down from Heaven and was born of the virgin Mary. Whilst always retaining His full Deity, he became Man, complete in His Humanity and like us in every way except He was without sin; The Human and Divine natures uniting in one person.

...that He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.

...that the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ, as our representative and substitute effected for all believers redemption from the guilt, penalty and power of sin and from the dominion of Satan.

...that Jesus rose bodily from the dead, ascended into Heaven and is exalted at God's right hand.

...that the sinner is justified freely by grace through faith alone in the Lord Jesus, and not through works, actual or potential.

...that Baptism, by immersion was instituted by Jesus Christ for those who have believed on Him.

...in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Giver of Life, uncreated, who proceeds from the Father and the Son.

...in the necessity of the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit to make the death of Christ effective towards the individual sinner, granting him repentance towards God and faith in Jesus Christ.

...in the illuminating and indwelling work of the Holy Spirit in every believer.

...the Holy Spirit fills believers and uniquely endows them with spiritual gifts, which are for the upbuilding of the Body of Christ.

...that the regenerating and sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit must bear fruit in the life of all believers, transforming their unregenerate state to conform to the image of Christ.

...in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ in power and glory, to judge the living and the dead.

...in the Resurrection of the Body and the fixed and eternal state of the life to come - the Redeemed with Jesus in Heaven and unbelievers suffering the punishment of Hell.

...in the priesthood of all believers, who form the Holy and universal church which is the Body of Christ and which is committed by His command to proclaim the Gospel throughout the world.

We believe this statement of faith is an accurate summary of what scripture teaches.
